beyond the green: enchantment, connectivity and the landscape
Work Sought: essays; personal reflection essays; short stories; poetry; art
The landscape can be a space of awe and wonder, of natural beauty or cosmopolitan splendour; in whatever form it makes up so much of the fabric that surrounds our daily lives. Often, when we talk about 'the landscape', we refer to the physicality of place - to the lay of the land, the colour of the trees, the buildings that cut into or seem part of the natural world surrounding them. However, our relationship with landscape can be multifaceted and exquisitely complex, filtering through our sensuous layers of experience and sculpting our personal and collective identities. This collection seeks contributions which will explore experiences of connecting with one's landscape, of immersive exploration of particular sites, and of times when the landscape is encountered as something more than a physical sight.
